In 2009, writer/director Eric Bair's wife brought him back a gift from a trip away: a statue of a bear holding a camera. The image inspired him to rethink his logo for Bairfilm. He came up with a concept and drew up some storyboards. He tasked one of his friends who was an animator to do it and hoped to premiere the new logo in 2010 in front of the comedy short "Male Order Bride". Unfortunately, his friend was unable to finish it.
in 2011, he hired animator Michelle Graves to finally bring his vision to life. The redesigned logo would make its debut a few years later in front of the drama short "Artificial Beauty" in 2013.
